About the only halfway decent thing about Raise the Titanic was the practical FX, which weren’t too bad for their time. Of course, this was before the wreck of the Titanic was found and it was discovered that the she’d broken up on the surface before her final plunge. It was assumed that she went down intact (IIRC, only one eyewitness to the sinking, Jack Thayer, correctly noted that Titanic broke up as she went down).
