How many potentially great leaders have refused to run for office out of true concern and love for their families?…

I would wager there are a lot of people who avoid public office for just that reason.

I saw a news story the other day - the President and Mrs. Obama had a photo taken with Spain’s Prime Minister Zapatero and his family, and published it.

Apparently in Spain, photos of the children are never published. There was a bit of an “oops” moment, and a bit of snickering, when it was noticed that the Prime Minister’s two daughters were clothed and made up in a most unattractive “goth” style.

As far as I’m concerrned - how the Prime Minister and his wife raise their kids is their business, and if they are allowing their kids the luxury of taking part in whatever style is “in” right now, then I don’t understand what the big deal is. It’s got to be hard as heck to be the private family of a public person.
