Both claim a scientific basis for their advocacy which seeks to influence the public on how it lives based upon certain declared truths.

Both has opponents seeking to examine thier science and both fought off those attempts by refusing to share their data. (Rightly or wrongly.)

Both had their servers accessed without permission and have become popular scandals.

Both have similar potential criminal or civil consequences for the ‘hackers’ and both had certain secrets let out of the bag.


Here’s the thing, CRU isn’t immune to taxes in the US and I don’t know of anyone who has signed their possessions over to the CRU, or to someone who might have been driven to suicide because of the CRU…
