Was Laura Bush a clothes horse?

Seems to me she was pretty low key as well.

The first lady is sort of expected to be a clothes horse, have a pet cause, and generally be extremely wholesome.

The basis of all the hate directed at her, of course, has more to do with her being black than anything else.
