I don’t want waste anywhere. I just believe that there’s a great deal of waste in our military that is off limits to talk about for political and pork reasons. Because we want a strong military, because it’s ideologically consistent with most peoples’ views of America, it’s easy to overlook or justify the waste in the military.

And I certainly don’t see the point in, as I said above, worrying about 30 grand in spending on refreshments in a few months from Pelosi or Boehner’s office as we’re flushing billions down the toilet.

In painting, you’re always told to start with big gestures and then worry about detail later.

Silly man. Anything the military asks for, it gets. The military is sacred. Nothing is too good for our men and women in uniform.

Except for decent psychiatrists who don’t shoot them.
