I’ll probably catch some flak over this… but there was something Bush was probably correct on. Whether final outcome is good or ill, do you think now that standing up a Democracy in Iraq might be having some influence?

I’d give a lot more credit to things in the last 2-3 years — Iran, Tunisia… and at the risk of sounding like an Obamabot, his measured reaction and speaking out for the protesters on both occasions.

Gibbs presser today, we were conspicuously nonsupportive of Mubarek, and made noises about stopping aid if the protests are put down too harshly.
