Bluntly, I have no faith whatsoever that the ruling elite in Saudi Arabia has a fig’s worth of concern for their citizens. I think they make a devil’s deal with extremism, pretending to confront it at home but simply ‘confronting’ the most disorganized and idiotic extremists, while still actively funding terrorism and Wahabism.

I do not see permanent positive change occurring in Saudi Arabia while the House of Saud rules.

It is a seriously beam in the US’s eye in the fight against terror, to have a state that sponsors terror as an ally.
