I think the problem with Reverend Al, and those like him, is that he’s willing to railroad people from other ethnic backgrounds unjustly to carry out his perception of “justice”.

One word: realpolitik

FWIW “realpolitik” is a term I find repugnant precisely because it is so often used to justify all manner of “practical” politics (as opposed to moral or ideological considerations). I’ve heard it used here, in fact, many times.

I’m not defending Sharpton, I’m just stating what I see as a fact: He knows how to play the game and play it well.
