They need to be careful and they need to be better about articulating their position. If they are able to explain to the average American worker that the bulk of the recipients of the tax break will be for people who don’t actually pay taxes I think they will have their support.

We don’t know the details of the plan yet, so this is purely speculative…

I don’t pay taxes, I’m retired on Social Security, my wife pays very little with our deductions, but still pays into SS, so we’d both get a check.
