I seem to remember a whole bunch of people who claimed they never voted for W. The party even shunned him.

Republicans also went after Nixon (when it was obvious he was in trouble).

The same goes for the never-Trumpers now. Some have returned to the fold (Sen. Sasse, Sen. Graham, The National Review), while others (Bari Weiss, Jennifer Rubin, &c) are only decrying Trump because he’s saying the quiet parts out loud. And of that last group, it is noteworthy none of them are in government.

Well then I guess Trump is just like all of them.

But that is still only your opinion.

Many of us agree with Happy. I would think even Charles agrees.

Maybe it is some kind of a purity thing we don’t match you on or something. That would be an opinion too.
