Somewhat true. We need to be clear and on message. But also very clear we don’t want help from the fringe or endorse the message.

Ron Paul may have some good points with his originalist arguments. But he’s tainted by associations with racists, his foreign policy ideas are unworkable in the modern era, his economic ideals simplistic and isolationist. Even if some of his ideas are good, he is the wrong messenger.

The Tea Party organizers are new at this, the left is drawn to organizing, the right to individualistic. For it to succeed they need to control the message.

The left also does not do any agonizing over who is joining their parade.
They just want the bodies whether they are reasonable people or bat-shit-crazy-cheshirt-wearing thug-huggers.
