Apology accepted. I do understand the emotions and anger.
Your response is a clarion example of why the work to properly legislate gun possession and purchase is going to be a lot harder than necessary. All this anti gun sound and fury intended to push back on any and all efforts to support gun rights (reasonable or not) just delays the result and makes poorly written law like what we got out of NY now passed.

I refuse to sit quietly between opposite hostile advocates.

“Now is the time for gun control” Maybe an extra bit of time to remember to exempt sworn police officers and armored truck guards would have been better. Maybe not waiting in the wings for another massacre was not such a great approach.

What really frustrates me is the two years between the individual right ruling from SCOTUS and serious legislative efforts. That (two years ago) was the time. Before these shootings, when even the advocates were relatively calm.

What should cheer us all is a moderate Dem President calling for reason, care and effective measures.
