Per worldometer: I am confused by why Pennsylvania is currently doing so badly in comparison to my state of Illinois. They are far more vaccinated than we are. What explains this difference? Is it just a very red legislature? Their population is only slightly larger than ours but their number of deaths over the past few weeks is typically 2 to 4 times as high as ours.

I couldn’t say “very red” but certainly much redder than Illinois’s.
