You’re a member of the lgf tribe and one of the folks I post for. If you, and others, cannot read what I post, my posting becomes kind of pointless.

I also occasionally have cases where a post doesn’t fully resolve. In those cases I have found that clicking the post’s “reload button” (rightmost button) often helps display the contents of tweets.

You also might, if the University permits it, see if someone can help you tune the laptop. Which might include removing unwanted startup apps, freeing up ram, and cleaning up disks. And might include seeing if the motherboard might take more ram and whether a faster/larger hard drive might be put in. Etc…

The reload option used to work for tweets. No longer. Sometime on a mastodon post, clicking on an image or a link will make more things appear.

This ‘puter is faster and more spacious than my last one and smaller at the same time. Looks like they clean ‘em up pretty well before they sell them. I have much to learn, and expect to need help, but I have to figure out some questions.
