Referring to people as animals has a long and dishonorable history. Trotsky did it to justify Red atrocities in the Russian Civil War, Goebbels did it to justify the Holocaust, and Pol Pot did it to justify the emptying of Cambodia’s cities and the subsequent killing of educated people.

When someone talks like that, beware.
