I have sympathy for anyone with an alcohol problem who’s genuinely looking for help.

However, that person should realize that there’s a big difference for being fired for behavior he engaged in while drunk, and for being fired for alcoholism.

I was just getting ready to say this. I don’t intend to bash alcoholism as an excuse, because it’s serious; but using it as a crutch to just get your way, that’s ludicrous.
