No Pat, people are turning away from religion because of it’s intolerance.

A lot of people seem to be missing that. When I was reading a few entries on the National Catholic Reporter blog the one author had an entry that was a rebuttal to another post that was doing the usual tirade blaming liberal government, secular education, etc. etc. for declining Catholic numbers in the US. The author pointed out that this was ignoring potential causes such as the Catholic church supported bigoted positions (such as the bill in Arizona) and the priestly child abuse scandals.
