I heard the same story, but that Obama’s total was $100 million, not $45 million. I wonder why the difference?

I’ll be there is $55 million somewhere that IS being spent, but falls under a different budget, like increased police force, etc.

Obama is paying 45 million, raised by donations, the other 50 million by the District and feds. The city expects 700 million to a billion in extra tourist dollars over the 4 days. You can’t get a room anywhere nearby and we have signs in Annapolis warning of traffic problems, and I’m 50 miles away.
