Looks like the religious right called in a few markers.

Why do you think markers were involved?

The “Religious Right” did not support Newt in the past (moral transgressions, etc).

I took this to be criticism at choosing a representative who wants to directly confront the Vatican as a poor choice.

I also agree with the “secular” stuff. Secular is fine with me, as long as I can believe what I want to believe. Government imposed secular pisses me off.
