From what other NE people I know tell me, Carr is a well known right wing kook up in those parts.

Oh yeah he is one of the talk radio cranks. Also writes a column for the Boston Herald. He has in the past done some decent reporting, he made his bones reporting on Whitey Bulger, and corruption on Beacon Hill. Now he mostly just froths at the mouth about the latest outrageous outrage.
