Pity you don’t live in Chicago. We have a small chain called Treasure Island which has loads of hard to find spices and foods. My mother still shops there at times, as its needed when she wants to try cooking a new dish.

Since you mentioned Treasure Island, I’ll share a thought I had a few months back.

My girlfriend lives in Hyde Park. The only grocery store is a Treasure Island. It is safe to assume this is where Obama shopped. Right under the store sign, it says in huge neon letters: “America’s most Europeon grocery store.”

I said to my gf: “Man, if there was a picture of Obama walking out of that place, the right wing blogs and Fox News would have a field day with that.” She didn’t understand what I meant, but I had a chuckle to myself.
