I was last stationed in England from ‘81 to ‘84-and prepared for it. I purchased a 9 band radio/tv/cassette boom box. It was heavy as hell, because Flat Screens were not an option then. However, it’d work on any voltage, any cycle rate, and had an NTSC/PAL switch. Additionally, I could use it on battery; It wore out many years ago, but was a nice go anywhere system.
