I don’t see drug companies as being the enemy but it seems to me that if we’re going to bring down medical costs, doctors need to start with the cheapest, most effective drug available and then work up from there instead of prescribing “free” samples and locking the patient into a $300 a month habit after the samples run out.

well if the patient has cancer I don’t think it’s right to call it a habit…
