There are not a whole lot of places for countries who do not produce fighter jets and the like to acquire them. All countries need to defend themselves.

Needless to say, this is true. Fighter jets aren’t exactly easy to build.

On CNN there is a story about a pair of F16’s flying low over Cairo, back and forth over the city. The symbolism is unflattering to the US, is my point.
