Yes. There were not black regular soldiers during the war. Charles referenced a good link about this myth.

There was, in desperation, in the end, an attempt to recruit a battalion that never actually served, but they were still not regular soldiers.

There were, of course, slaves in the Southern Army, as well. Pointing to them as evidence as blacks serving in the Southern Army makes very little sense, given that, you know, they were slaves.
