My daughter went on her very first official date Friday. I have had that printed out for years, and it immediately came to mind as he arrived. I was so tempted to read it to him, just for laughs…

We have four girls and a boy. The oldest girl is married, the next is living out of the house, one is just starting to date, and the baby is still too young for that nonsense.

For boyfriends, I have had great success with the following recipe:
* If I like him, I ignore him.
* If I do not like him, he is invited to dinner with the family, kiddy birthday parties, etc. etc.
* If I really don’t like him, he is my new bestest buddy. We go shooting and spend lots of time together without the daughter.

I have had a decent success rate so far …
