Programs designed to overcome economic poverty should be applied to, well, people in poverty, not based on race.

However, there is still substantial race-based discrimination in hiring, and, hugely, in our justice system. Diversity programs can have indirect effects, especially in the justice system.

It’s a good, but narrow article.
