Yup. The GOP is all about privatizing all the management aspects, and then exploiting the parks. They’re already agitating to mine/drill right up to the park borders. They’re already spoiling views into parks (saw this first hand at Arches/Canyonlands).

And some parks were established to protect against future mining/damage, including at Death Valley where borax was mined, Mammoth Caves, where they were digging for minerals, and several other parks were contemplated for mining including Yellowstone. Yosemite was considered for damming so that CA could get water and electricity. They flooded out Hetch Hetchy, which was a mirror to Yosemite Valley.

On and on it goes.
