As much as I support and sympathize with Williams and other artists that don’t want Trump and other Republicans to use their music, there may not be much they can legally do to stop them if the proper public performance licenses are paid to ASCAP, BMI, and/or SESAC, other than getting their opposition in the public eye.

If the performance licenses haven’t been paid for, though, that’s a different situation altogether.
