If you like having diversions on Twitter, follow any number of national park sites. They’ll frequently post photos and stories about what’s going on in the parks - and most of it is good stuff, along with the occasional human stupidity or requesting folks call for more funding to keep the parks going.

The Parks have my unconditional support, but it seems that many Americans simply don’t bother going to them, and kids aren’t understanding just how revolutionary and important they are. Want to change that, and I’m really contemplating volunteering at one in coming years…
