When Herman Cain says that he plans to give the poor a tax break in regards to the sales tax, I’ll start taking his plan seriously (I don’t say I’ll support it just take it as a serious plan that is deserving of hearing the pros and cons of) do you have any proof that Herman Cain plans to do what you suggest he should do? Because the closest I’ve come is hearing him say that he’d nullify the income tax portion of it for poor people (9-0-9) have you heard him anywhere suggest he plans to make it (0-0-9)? for poor people?

I admit early on that the details are missing. That is not uncommon. As I mentioned you didn’t get the details of Obamacare until after it was passed.

Cain is not stupid, he knows that he can’t increase the prices of all goods and services by 9% and not bring horrible hardship to the poor. I understand that it would be easy to see some kind of idiot, puppet, or evil being, but that is just the partisan politics of the day.

I describe how it works in Canada. Cain says that the tax would not be on top of the selling price but would replace taxes that are already embedded in selling prices. So the price would not go up.

Purposely vague. However like I say, that is the way these things work.

He is aware that prices cannot suddenly go up 9%. He studies other national sales taxes.

In one way or another, the poor will not have to pony up an extra 9%
