Please pardon what may seem like chiding - but I really think that the family life and family members of politicians should be off limits - unless they too are directly involved in politics.

Everyone here knows that I am not the biggest fan of Obama, but there is something very inappropriate making such personal attacks. Honestly, I come from a place where insulting a man’s wife is asking for an ass-whupping. It’s honestly just against my guy code to do it. And honestly, even if their marriage was bad, gloating over it is just mean.

I know there are some who will disagree with me here - and you may be right, but I really do not get the same vibe off of Michelle Obama that I get off of Hillary.

OK- point taken, and I agree that we shouldn’t descend to the level of our opponents. I do think that if a spouse takes on a highly visible role (as I believe Michelle is) then a certain amount of um, uh, contructive commentary may not be completely inappropriate.
