Scrolling through the posts that accumulated last night, I saw a bunch of posts about Curling. The US having now won gold, I imagine there’ll be Curling Scholarships in major Universities, and in a few years, enormous stadia built at taxpayer expense in every metro area.

Kidding, of course, but I note that interest in more obscure sports tends to skyrocket in America when an American or an American team starts winning. e.g. UCI cycling and Greg LeMond.
