Agree that Locke was a tool. Apparently, the actor will return, presumably as anti-Locke.

I guess what I’m saying is that, although a lot of loose ends were tied together, there’s still no explanation for who these people are or why they’re doing the things they’re doing. Their relationship to one another remains unclear, as does their relation to the Losties.

By the way - the Tawaret explanation seems to still be up in the air. Tawaret is typically depicted with a hippo’s features; the view we got of the statue looked more crocodilian. Same with it’s depiction in Jacob’s tapestry. I’m not convinced this is settled yet.

I don’t understand your references to Ilanna and Bram; what is it they did that you’re referring to? I only started watching last year; I’ve seen most of the episodes on Sci-Fi reruns, but I may have missed some. Have they appeared before? Prior to their appearance on the flight, I don’t recall seeing them.

No, they are new characters, introduced this season. They spoke to Richard in Latin, which, per Juliet, denotes an “other.” So we know that they are working with the “others.”

ABC’s official press release says it was Tawaret, so that’s canon for now, unless the producers correct that. As it is, the sandals were Roman, not Egyptian, so it may just be because it’s a fanciful version slapped together by the art department.
