I really don’t get it. Pakistani is very easy to spell and is a mere 5 characters more than the alternative known to be a racial slur. It takes about half a second to type the extra characters.

What the fuck is wrong with people? Afraid to just spell out what you mean without inserting veiled/open racist language? It’s one thing to do it out of ignorance and haste, but now that you know what’s the excuse?
