Mine is screwed into the metal frame, and is very small— only juts out like 8 inches. If the winds came manage to rip it out from its screws— which are on the inside— I think i’m going to have a lot more to worry about.

I seriously think they’re overhyping this storm. Don’t bother with the AC unit. You in NY? It’s going to come in as a low Cat 1 but probably a tropical storm. I just posted on Randy’s page. Mostly down trees and possible power outages. You won’t lose your windows. If you’re in a house, make sure you bring inside anything that can blow around like lawn furniture and fixtures. It’s also moving pretty quickly, 13mph. Andrew came through at 15mph which was over us a 2-3 hours. This is no Andrew (180-200mph winds).

If you normally flood in a bad storm than that could be a problem. I think they’re predicting 8-10”. Move your car to higher ground.

Also, the longer it stays over land the more it will break up.
