When it comes to foods, I always give a big thanks to the brave men and women that first attempted to eat some of what has become accepted today.

Brave for attempting the taste for the first time, or the sickness because it wasn’t prepared properly (yet). And then for the brave that said, “hey you know that was pretty freaking awful, but I think with some spice, heat and then let it sit for a month in the dark will make it just fine.

Thank you! We owe you pioneers gratitude for paving the way.

(I am always mystified by the roots of discovery/technology/science)

That spirit lived on in our generation—teams of folk botanists who researched the psychotropic effects of mellow yellow and nutmeg.
