That appears to be the core of their objection for a book to be assigned to 8th graders. It’s not the discussion of the Holocaust or that the book is effective in teaching children about the horrors of this monstrous crime but that it includes profanity, vulgarity, nudity.

Life is full of profanity, vulgarity and nudity.
