The capacity to pare people into finer and finer segments of good wholesome people versus strangers from over there is infinite…particularly if you’re incentivized to do it because it’s the only explanation for discomfort and alienation you’ll accept.

Sure, if you want to get all intellectual about it, but those *spit* dirt farmers on the east side know nothing about the manly and rugged life led by the west side oilmen and ranchers.
