There is no contradiction. It is not the case that any person, just by virtue of being gay, must believe that gay marriage is good for the nation.

In fact, it is not the case that any person, just by virtue of being any {this}, must believe some particular {that}. Hence, the phenomenon of black Republicans, business executive Democrats, male feminists, and on and on and on.

So according to you there would be no contradiction to a white politician being against bi-racial marriage and then being caught with a black mistress? Really? No contradiction?
