My kid brother is one of the few kids in his class that likes Obama. Tells me no joke that he has birthers for classmates. These kids no doubt are just repeating what they hear from their folks and other older relatives and social circle but damn.

Kids will always parrot their parents, and that’s fine. What makes me really sad though is that ‘teach the controversy’ is not just a theory. It’s now established; you can make up facts, put them on the news and insist that they’re Fair and Balanced, scream loudly about bias when people suggest that your ‘facts’ are fake, and everyone will back down and decide that the truth lies somewhere between the actual truth and your made-up facts.

Public education disaster. And I fear for America as a result.
