The Khmer Rouge were nuts enough to try to attack Vietnam. They lost a lot of people in that war but that ended the genocide.

Cambodia is now a constitutional monarchy and a parliamentary democracy, in a reversal of the “domino effect”.

What made them decide to invade Cambodia? I’ve always forgotten who of the two which one the PRC and USSR supported. It’s amazing the sheer destruction they caused in such a brief time.
