I get the feeling (and it’s not just from my experience; I’ve seen it happen to others, too) that if a new poster comes on the board, and has the temerity to express an opinion in any voice other than a mouse squeak, he’s taken to task for it(or “dog-piled” on, as I believe it’s referred to here.) I don’t think I’ve been dog-piled on, but I have been given the cold shoulder by more than a few. Every time I posted something denigrating the Tea Party, I got a bunch of “F-you, A-hole” responses.”

You “missed it” because I spelled “shoulder” correctly.
