re: #532 Nimed

I’ve had this discussion many times before, and I always love this part. The Old Testament is part of the Bible, and it is in fact the part what Christianity largely shares with Judaism, give or take a book. Are you saying that the Old Testament is the bad stuff?

Why make this dishonest equivalency between a 3,500 year old document that makes references that were dated 2,500 years ago, and a book that is being cited to call for violence all over the world in the year 2010?

You have no concept of the oral law, of the thousands of years of interpretations and history. It is a bizarre game you are playing.

If the Muslims reinterpret their book in a way that doesn’t encourage tens of thousands of murders all over the world, no one will care what is written there. The fact is, murder, bombings, wars and slaughter are occurring all over the world by people who reference the Koran.
