There are three political unknowns in the GOP primary, one with lots of his own money to spend. None are as obviously bad as the last GOP candidate against him who like to embellish his military record, but since I’m a very much a Feingold fan I honestly haven’t paid that much attention. He voted against the so-called Patriot act and he voted to let the Assault Weapon ban sunset because it was a bad law. Those two alone would be enough reason for me to vote for him.

Well, I favor the Patriot Act (please, let’s not argue about it), but I’m glad Feingold let the ban sunset. He’s still liberal, though, and I’d tend to vote against him. But I don’t doubt he’s an honorable and decent man who can be voted for without embarrassment.
