No, that’s the blue water sailor who understands just how bloody naval battles can be. You’re the man who has helped prepare midshipmen for life in the Navy and you don’t want them to die if it can be avoided. And I respect that. I wasn’t advocating attacking the Varyag, of course, only saying that China is challenging. Meeting the challenge does not mean war, and we should do everything within reason and morality to prevent such a war.
