I don’t think Palin is really gonna run for POTUS in ‘12, though I may well end up eating crow on that.

I do think she is letting her fans think she might. She has a pretty sizable base of fans buying her crap (books, etc.), and I think that if she were to make a declarative statement that she won’t be seeking the nomination, she could stand to lose a very significant chunk of her book-buying fan base.
