You’re getting emotional, but the fact remains that “innocent until proven guilty” is not an epistemological principle. We can argue about whether or not there is evidence re:Cain, that is an interesting debate to have. But one of the possible options is that yes, he is guilty of sexual harrassment - and that is regardless of whether he has been convicted in a court of law. (Note that I’m not saying in this comment that he actually is guilty.) That’s all there is to my point - we don’t have to have a court’s decision to arrive at truth. Historians arrive at truth all the time, through analyzing evidence and not necessarily relying on court verdicts.
