I wonder how Minnesota is holding up. Charles blames the shutdown on the GOP. Why am I not surprised. But, according to the news articles I’ve read, the GOP legislature passed 9 budget bills that incorporated a 6% increase in spending. Governor Dayton wanted a 15% increase in spending. The dispute involves only some of the budget bills, not all of them. But Dayton vetoed all of them.

Cruel, heartless Republicans only increase spending by 6%. The governor vetoes all the spending bills, no just the ones that he feels do not spend enough, because he wants spending increased by 15%. Looks to me like the shutdown is Governor Dayton’s fault. Dayton wants government shut down and he wants it to be as painful as possible because he assumes the public will blame the GOP. Charles certainly blames them. The Star Tribune blames them. I wonder what the public will believe?
