Depends. If you’re telecommuting the answer is no. If you’re already commuting on LIRR or Metro North from Rockland or Westchester, it might depend on where in Ct you’re commuting from and your income level. If you’re moving from NYC proper (where there’s an additional NYC personal income tax), you will not likely see the savings - because they will get eaten up in the commute. Then again, companies might decide to move as well, meaning lost jobs as they get hammered with a payroll tax on top of everything else.
